A Worlds First VR and FFXIV Stream?!?
I have recently been contacted by a newly founded club in Final Fantasy XIV regarding DJ’ing for them. This is due to being addicted to Final Fantasy all my life and taking an interest an interest in DJ’ing, I made a twitter post randomly seeing if anyone needed a DJ to try it out.
After some discussions we look to be going ahead with their Grand Opening which I’ll be in FFXIV at a custom made club by the owner, I’ll be DJ’ing, where attendee’s will come to the club, dance around on the Dance Floor and listen via Twitch.
I have started as a DJ in full on mode. My first ever DJ set was in VR in Full Body Tracking running for 2 hours! Not a normal way to start DJ’ing by throwing everything at yourself to make it complicated, but that’s the way I do things ^^ This will be no exception, My first ever FFXIV Stream!
I plan to do the following, which I will undertake a hardware capability test on Wednesday to ensure that it can handle all it all before the big day! I’ll be streaming mainly FFXIV, whilst having my VR full body tracking representation in the Stream output.
- Run OBS and Stream to Twitch and Record Video
- Provide 1080p FFXIV Feed to OBS
- Provide VR Feed from VRChat to OBS
- Run DJ App as well as recording the entire set from App
Definitely no simple or standard stream for sure, and it for sure must be a worlds first! Who in their right mind would DJ to two game sources whilst providing realtime feedback/viewing?!?!?!?
