Giving Kick the Boot

Well yea… It’s been a while since Kick launched and tried to be the next best thing to replace Twitch, but just like everyone else, they don’t do much to provide tools and access to use it properly. VRCDN were very quick on jumping on board to support Kick and I’ve been streaming everything I do on Twitch to Kick too. I put in a lot of effort initially to try support people on both platorms, having 4 overlay windows open 2 Notification and 2 Chats. It took a lot out of me trying to keep up with it and a lot of times I was getting confused who doing what and missing chats here and there. So First of all, thanks to those that followed on Kick, Thanks to all that still follow and support me on Twitch.

Effective several weeks ago I locked down Kick to follower only chat, and also Emoji Only Chat. As chat is persistent there between streams I have left a message there to say chat is not monitored nor are any follows. Viewers there are instructed to join us on Twitch, if they don’t well they have been advised. I’d love for kick to grow, but I really need them to support better for integrated chats and something I can just have open in an app that lets me see and reply to them both at same time. At the moment it just doesn’t so I wont actively progress Kick anymore.

I’ll continue to check it every now and then for followers, but otherwise I wont manage it, if it keeps growing and they better its support in future then may look into it again, I’ll continue to stream to both platforms via VRCDN (Which I use for all streams).
